Sleepless night

After yesterday couldn't sleep last night, went to meeting this morning. I rang lifeline parenting line and so did my husband thanx dee, helped a little just feeling really low today, wanted to drink yesterday afternoon, prayed and prayed and didn't thank god :)

I hope that you sleep better soon. Good for you for reaching out for support.

Wonderful :) Instead of focusing on 'not' doing something... does it help to divert that energy to doing something positive?

Liss, we're here for you. I hope you are able to sleep tonight!

I understand the not sleeping...I am dreading tonight which is my first sober night and I still have to sweat out 5 weeks worth of alcohol...I remember what it was like the first time *shudder* I usually take 1mg of Melatonin each night before I go to sleep, but Valerian Root is even better for myself at least. I hope you get some great sleep soon! One day at a time!

Hi Liss, sounds like you did the right thing, take help wherever you can get it from. I am off to first AA meeting tonight. Knots in my stomach are getting bigger due to anxiety and fear. Uggh. how I envy those people who have nice boring lives without all these issues.

It's great to come home and hear that things went ok for you Liss. Lots of stuff to do but at least drinking is not compounding your problems! Stay strong! :c011:

That's awesome, Liss! There are so many resources now to help quit. If I'd have known about SR I may have quit many years sooner.
