I've had a hell of a weekend. I've struggled with staying sober, literally minute by minute because I'm on a raging pity party that is making my former benders look like child's play.

I can emphatically declare, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I would not be sober right now if it wasn't for SR.

I'm filled with gratitude for this sanctuary. For everyone who reached out to me and walked the walk with me as I fought like hell to keep my hard earned sobriety intact.

Today, I'm grateful beyond measure for being an alcoholic. I have learned so much from just this place alone. Both in regards to alcoholism as well as the tenacity and fortitude and strength of the human spirit that is demonstrated daily by the fearlessness of those that have gone before me here.

I have witnessed people here who have the greatest of physical and mental challenges, and yet, they embrace their lives, sober, everyday, as if they can fly...

I'm inspired.

I'm empowered.

I'm humbled.

I'm forever changed.

Because of all of you.

You know AO, I was thinking the same thing today and there is no way I could have put is as eloquently as you. This place has become a much needed sanctuary and I couldn't have made it through the weekend without SR.
