Hi, I'm nonna11 and this is my first time posting......kinda nervous about it but apparently somebody up there knows more than I do because I wasn't looking for this forum this forum found me.... Don't have a problem saying that this is my second time at sobriety, first time went 8 months on my own.... I figured I could handle it again until I landed in the hospital with acute alcohol toxicity.... So, here I am, 7 days sober and I found yinze....That's about it other than I'm nonna to a beautiful 2 1/2 little girl....Biggest reason why no more for me!!!

I think a lot of us find SR by 'accident', just when we really need it. I'm glad you're safe and out of the hospital.

Welcome Home nonna11! Congrats on the 7 days...Wow, and you once went for 8 months on your own. I too have slipped a time or two or three or more. Its all in the recovery process. My biggest hurdle was acceptance. Once I got over it, well lets just say my Sober days are much better today. Also for me, too much pride. Pride was always getting in the way of seeking help. Keep up the good work, someday that little girl is going to be so proud of you. I'm proud of you for opening up. Way to go!

SR found me too - back in '07 - and I never left. Not feeling alone anymore made a huge difference. :)

Jade, No difference....acute alcohol toxicity was just a nice professional way my doctors told me that I totally freakin poisoned myself with alcohol....That's it.....
