All I have to do today is not drink.

Feeling low the past few days and having some urges. If I can make it through today, I know tomorrow will be better. I'm hanging on and playing the tape of my past relapses. I can do this!

You are already half way through this day if you are in the Eastern USA. Stay plugged in here if needed to get you past it. Have some ice cream.

I find that when I am doing things I enjoy I tend to forget I am not drinking.

Help your resolution out - find something to do!

Yes, keep playing that tape. It works for me, too. Over three years sober and I can still recall the horrors I went through. Guess I needed to go through them to get sober.
Take my word from a chronic relapser-it's still the same out there. You're not missing anything except misery.

Best to you.

You can feel this discomfort, and not give in. It's an option I hadn't tried til recently, but it works, and the feeling pass!!

Congrats. 3 + years Ghostlight1. How soon I can forget that I'm not missing anything out there! I read somewhere that if all you can do is stay at home and sit on your hands its been a successful day!

Just getting thru the early days sober is a great accomplishment. Be proud of that.
