First "using thoughts" in awhile

So I'm on my overnight pass right now and I don't have to go back to rehab til 8 PM tomorrow. I've been having a few more using thoughts today than I have for the past few weeks, although it is expected. It's not like "oh my god, I need to use right now" it's more thoughts about how I could use more easily now if I wanted to. Memories of leaving this apartment and going to use. They scare me. I'm also pretty bored and restless so I guess that doesn't really help. So I'm just putting that out there because pain shared is pain lessened.

It's all part of the process, like you said. Stay the course and use what you've learned. Think how awesome you'll feel when you pass this test and tell the rest about it tomorrow back in rehab. How proud you'll be and they will be for you. You got this. Go do something constructive or fun.

Just hanging out here at SoberRecovery can be constructive!

I'm spending my Saturday night here ColdFusion, so I guess being here is constructive! I'm like you Jakec...when I get bored and restless, that's when I get thoughts about drinking too. I'll echo what Forghetti said...you got this!

I believe that you can put those thoughts to rest Jake.

look beyond tonight, to what you want your life to be, and make decisions based on that :)
