Next week
 

I am really worried about next week. It is going to be a very busy and stressful week for me at work, especially since I've been on vacation. I am trying to plan ahead. My plan is so far:

Tomorrow - 1 AA meeting and 1 Lifering meeting
Monday - AA meeting
Tues and Wed I won't be able to get to any meetings
Thurs - AA meeting
Fri - not able to get to a meeting
Sat - AA meeting

I should be fine after Friday but I am nervous. My typical reaction to an upcoming stressful work week is to buy wine in mass quantities.

Gotta have a plan, you seem to already have it worked out, I'd add make sure if you get to the point of a craving, talking to someone, anyone, even posting on SR before doing anything!!

I think you are so smart to be making a plan! Be kind to yourself in your "down" time (if you have any), and stay close to SR (if you can).

Treat yourself well during the stressful week: good food and plenty of rest. Cravings are easier to resist if we feel good about ourselves, I think.

Take it a day at a time.

I suggest you share at tomorrow's AA meeting (don't know anything about Lifering) that you're going to be without meetings in early sobriety, and would like some numbers. If you expect to be working late, you could even say that you're looking for someone you can call late. I know it sounds scary to come right out & ask for help like that, but asking for help when you need it is essential!

Oh, and then really do use the numbers when you can't get to meetings, and don't worry about whether you "like" the person or not -- at this time, any port (except port wine) in a storm.
