Well I guess I stumbled upon the way to post. Is there some place to find out how to do posting on the site or do you just keep entering here until you post enough times to join a community?

There is a forum link at the top of the page. It will bring up a list of forums, just scroll down until you find the friends and family. Click on that forum and then post just like you did here.

You do have to have a certain amounts of posts for different amenities on this site. I don't know how many it takes to join a community/social group.

I was reading today about personality disorders of long term addicts. My heart is breaking because I have become my the enemy of my sister's addiction. It is so lonely.

You need a certain number of posts to send PMs, post links, or to join a social group.

the regular forums and threads are not social groups, so you should fine to post or start threads just about anywhere

and the at the top left you see NEW POST.
You can learn lots in the forum just click on NEW POST and you will see all the latest threads and you will learn a lot and share

I have spent the last 24 hours posting, talking, listening and am hoping that the answers for me are here in the voices of the people who have been working through the challenges of living with or being an A.

Some good reading material recommended. I am someone who needs to know the direction I am going with the insanity of living with an A direction is outside the paradigm.

I am finding sanity in both families and A here.

I have found that I am no longer a not wit so not at wits end anyone.
Wait for it.... because
There is so much info here to help me understand my own thinking and emotions
There is the caring and giving that helped me come out from under the dark cloud
There is so much laughter
The are healthy things that I missed...
so... I am walking away from wits end into bewilderment, but also helpfulness.
