Nope, you don't have to say you are an alcoholic at an AA meeting. At "open" meetings anyone can attend. At "closed" meetings only those with a desire to quit drinking can attend. During introductions you can say, "I'm AuntieSoso and I'm here to listen" or simply say "I'm Auntie Soso." I've heard both.
