day 4

I'm into my 4th day, and it feels like 4 long weeks, and I am ready for a beer. No, I won't do it, but it's been a hard 4 days and I'm tired of it!!!!!! I just feel drained. I feel really silly saying this; after all, it's only 4 days. The main thing that keeps me going is I don't want to have to start from the beginning again. I've started over again many times, but it wasn't this tough.
Just saying. Now, I'm done feeling sorry for myself. Tomorrow's a new day.

He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.

Ditto on the fourth day, I have no idea why the fourth day is a bit harder but it will get easier, you are going great.

Awesome!!!!

Ready for a beer? Phhhhhht. For us that's like saying you're ready for regret, anxiety, depression... you know the drill. Sounds to me like you're just ready for your body and mind to settle into a new groove. And they will, just takes some time. But all the really bad stuff, that's already in your rearview mirror. Keep on trucking!

Great job on 4 days 2muchpain!!! Hold on tight, you can do this. Very proud of you and your accomplishments thus far. They say that each time you sober up, the withdrawal worsens. This just proves that you have become stronger and stronger. Stay the course.

Congrats on 4 days! You're a sober badass. I found it got much easier, especially with regular support from SR and also face-to-face support.
