I could use a kick in the a** and a hug..

OK, so why do I let people get in my head? Why do I doubt myself? Why does this make me want to pour a box of wine down my throat?

I actually am starting to know the answers to these and other questions....and i will NOT drink. Life will not break me, I am NOT having a single drink tonight. Haven't touched or wanted a drop since January 16th 2014 and I will not let the bastards get me down.

My sobriety is my best revenge...and my best life!

Sorry for the vent/rant...if anyone is listening it would be nice to hear from you...even a word or two of support would mean a lot.

I am OFF to the GYM...to work out my demons.

No kick from me - just a big hug. You're doing great, and it helps to talk it over here.

Going to the gym is a wonderful decision. You'll feel better afterwards. I always do. Today I found myself furious about something that had happened to me in junior high (almost 45 years ago!). The scenario just started playing back in my head and I was right there again with all the associated emotions. I understand what you mean when you say "why do I let people get in my head?". Sometimes it's very difficult to shut it off.

Hang in there!

I LOVE that spirit and determination, kitty! That's exactly how I felt when I first charted a life without alcohol...and it's what's lead me to almost two and half years without a single drop. You can do it, honey. Just keep moving forward. xo

Well your post gave me a kick in the arse. Sobriety really is the best life, it's easy to forget that sometimes, but it really is x

Kitty, even at 16 my kitty feels a lot better after a good "whir" around the house, where he makes throaty noises and never touches the floor as he flys from one piece of furniture to the other. The gym is probably your equivalent.

Thank you everyone for hugs, songs from a favourite program, and the support. It means the world to me. Still upset, still royally pissed off, but at least I made an effort for 30 mins of cardio and stretching. Tonight I am gonna eat buttered popcorn and go to bed early. Thank you again...seriously...I really needed the love.
