I find it really hard to talk to people who don't have the disease. On the other hand talking with someone who's going through the same thing is really helpful.

I haven't told anyone either (except for the thousands of folks who visit this site) as my alcoholism was mine (I poured the poison down my throat, time and time again, all by myself) and I consider my path to sobriety as mine, as well. Having said that, admitting to my alcoholism on this site was very therapeutic and I am so glad each and everyone of you at SR walk it with me.

go with an open mind, don't think about telling anyone until you want to tell them

everyone said and made many great points. Credit to you all.
Ans InTheEnd, it does not matter who you tell, as long as ou do not lie to yourself and it cant hurt to check in with a doctor just to check blood levels..just to be on safe side.
