TODAY (poem)
Today, just a day.
Another day.
Sitting here. I look around.
Feeling broken, I make no sound.
When dawn comes in, and light wakes up;
I see myself, at the bottom of the cup.
The night crawls in; the light slips away.
In the hardest of times, I'm still a slave.
I know one day, I'll be free.
To end this cycle, called misery.
Today, was just a day.

Day 6 for me today. Somebody wrote a post in here that inspired me to write a poem. I can can probably count the number of poems I've written in my entire life on one hand lol.
I was never a terrible drinker, but I guess since I've been abusing alcohol since I was 17, and am now 30, I think 13 years of abuse was enough. In addition, marijuana was a big addiction as well. I realized yesterday that I think I may actually be an alcoholic *shrug*
So, wish me luck and lets all stay positive in our journey. Good luck all.
