Day one AGAIN!

Today is the first of hopefully many sober days. Feeling pretty lousy, shaking a lot, but I knew this was coming. Just got to deal with it. Just going to stay home and try to relax. A pint of vodka or a 12 of beer would take care of the shakiness, and would put me in a better mood, but I'd just be putting this day off again, and would have to go through this all over. I hope everybody is having a good day.

I hope you feel better 2much. Remember, you never have to feel like this again. Keep your chin up!

Well done for taking the step of stopping mate, have you done this before?

Lucy777 02-17-2014 10:35 AM

Im starting over again. Working on day 2. I was an alcoholic for over 20 yrs, I had over 6yrs sober, then I went back to drinking for 3yrs, sober 8 months, drinking again for 5 months. I have tried several times to stop in Janurary. Now I start again in Feb. Dealing with depression, grief and ptsd is hard enough on thier own but mixed with drinking and it only sends me deeper into a dark place that I am desperately trying to climb out of. I made commitment to myself to come here everyday. I need to hold myself accountable somehow. Only I can change me. No amount of treatment is going to help if I can not help myself. I write this to that I can see it in writing that I want to be sober.

Yes, I've through this many times before. Some detoxes are tougher that others. I've had worst ones than this, but this one is definitely up there. I put myself in this situation and it's up to me get myself out of it.

Let's rock this thing this time!!! Are you getting my texts? I have sent two.

2muchpain 02-17-2014 01:23 PM

Raider

I tried responding to one of your texts, but made so many mistakes, I never sent. Couldn't figure out to correct the mistakes, but I will keep working on it. Actually, I just remembered, I have a website that tells me how to do anything with me computer. Those letters are so small, it's easy to mess up. But thanks for the texts. Hope your doing well.
