Day 11
Day 11
Doing ok really. Terrible sweet tooth but I'm not going to worry about that. Just a bit of sweets takes my crave away. Once again, I'm so tired at night. I don't what's that all about but I can deal. More to report tomorrow. Sleep now. Love you guys bunches!
in the first few weeks other than the insomnia nights i'm sure i mostly slept 12 hours and 16 at the weekend . Enjoy the sleep if your anything like i was it was gloriousy snuggly .
I found triple chocolate ice cream helped the sweet tooth and also acted as a reward to use as a surrogate obsession for getting through my day .
keep on ,
Bestwishes, m

Raider I smile when I see your updates, I'm walking this with you. I was enormously tired in the first few months and it was winter for me as it is for you now, I think that may be part of it. But I also think our bodies work physically hard at recovery, they are eliminating toxins from our systems, rebuilding parts of us, establishing new neurone connections and so on. To be tired for say a month or six weeks is not unreasonable when you think of it that way. If you had pneumonia for instance you would expect to be a couple of months in physical recovery and it's the same here.
I dealt with it this way: embracing my recovery first, drinking lots of water, eating plenty of fruit and veg (and ice cream!), into bed for nine hours sleep every night. Everything else went in the queue after that and if it didn't get done, it didn't get done.
Look after yourself Raider, you won't believe the Raider you are going to see in the spring.

Radier good for you. Indulge in ice cream and cookies and whatever else floats you boat. If you learn to deal with you alcoholism you will be able to deal with any other addictions down the road. I am proud to be part of this journey with you!
Congrats on day 11, Raider! I've followed your journey for a while, even months before joining recently and you've been inspiring to me in posting your struggles. Day 7 here for me. I hope it helps knowing you're helping others like me.
