Classic on Love for those interested in philosophy
Hi everyone - seems like Valentine's Day is big on SR - so here is my contribution
A few years ago I took classes that were centered around one of the classic works of the ancient Greek philosopher, Plato... about Love. In English it's known as "Symposium", which means actually a "drinking party"
Story (set in dialogues) is the conversation of a bunch of people talking about love (each presenting their own views) and trying to decipher its mysteries. In the school where I took the classes we went step by step dissecting it (over weeks) with a small group. Wonderful (and sometimes very adamant) debates, many subjective interpretations, personal stories shared....
If interested, you can read it online.
This is my personal favorite essay on it:
Plato's Symposium
Happy V Day, Friends!
