Alcohol destroys many cells. It likes certain organs more then others. Losing brain cells is on of them. Try to think before you speak, rather then just spouting something off.

That came off a little snarky, Matt.

One thing I have learned after 42 years is definitely to think before I speak. That's why it was troubling to me, Matt. I wasn't just spouting something off. I was speaking normally and with an appropriate amount of thought in all the instances.

Thanks all for the feedback, all of it helpful and some of it made me laugh out loud ("Pan! Pan! Pan!"). It's definitely not like the normal forgetfulness I had with drinking/hangovers/etc and it's also not like that distracted kind of talking where I just babble the wrong thing. The brain fart article was actually very helpful -- I'm curious why it would be happening to me now though. Hmmmm.
Again, thanks!
Jackie

i have it all of the time and it's for basic words... kind of like what someone said above. it's kind of distressing. It's good to know that it gets better. Thank you for this thread. Congrats on 53 days!!
