Benedict - keep posting, no one is being adversely affected by your actions but you. As Dee commented, you are not that powerful, or unique. We've been where you are and have dug, or are still digging ourselves out. Just like my neighbor who helped me dig my car out of the snow yesterday, we are here to help you dig your way out.

You're powerless over this disease. Get to a meeting, drunk or sober. There are people at meetings who know exactly how you feel, just like we do. I tell you I would truly admire someone who was drunk turning up at AA, imagine that- spoiling the drunken state with a sober message. Now that would be a "turd in my beer"!
