Time to Reach Out

Oh boy; this is a big step - my first post and my first "public admission" that I am an alcoholic. While I have been sober since December 4, 2011, I have not been able to seek any help/support while caring for an aging and dying parent. Now that the privilege of caregiving has ended, I need to reach out as I find myself wanting that golden glass of chardonnay but fearing (knowing) that one will lead to two and two will lead to . . . , etc.

And maybe I can help someone along the way, too.

Thanks Neferkamichael. Feels great to receive a response. Sobriety feels rather fragile today but your quick response gives me strength to keep at it.
