Relapsed

Yeah. Day 3, getting over the withdrawal and feeling great. So I figured, just one last time. Why not? Can't hurt, this once.

It hurts right now. I'm not even enjoying it.

I'm not going to say I'm a loser. Or that I failed you all. Because that isn't true. I made a mistake and with this lesson I'll go for a new day 1 tomorrow. With the realization that that one last time CAN hurt.

Talk to you all tomorrow!

Hi Benedict. I like your attitude. Sometimes we need further proof that drinking is never going to be an option for us anymore. You learned something. Glad you posted about it.

Or, wild crazy random thought - you could tip our what you have left and start again right now?

New day 1 and I'm feeling good today. I've accepted the mistake I made and the positive thing is that for the first time I found the drinking itself terrible. The taste, the way it made me feel, the new step towards destruction. Horrible.

So I ended up drinking less than half of what I usually would and just went to bed. No hangover and feeling positive about sobriety. Now I know for sure that staying sober is what I truly want.

Thanks for the supportive messages.

Thanks KateL, but I rock less than you think. I did it again... Caught me by surprise. It's embarrassing...

I'm going to post a new thread about this because I really need some advice and help.
