EXACTLY! "If I could put the drink down!", that was my original plan... but I found that I put it down, i was still restless, irritable, and discontent... I had NO idea how to deal with the challenges Life through at me, without picking up a drink. AA has taught me (and will continue to teach me) how to LIVE soberly.

I suggest you pick up Living Sober, a copy of the Big Book, get to a meeting and share what you shared with us. We have all been in your shoes. it Took me years to finally put the drink down, By the Grace of God, i have kept it down for 9 months now.

Good luck, and keep us posted
