We've done the outpatient rehab, short term inpatient rehab and now my daughter is back on painkillers. She's stolen to get them, left her son with me while I don't where she is staying and I don't know what to do. I feel helpless. I don't know if I should do the tough love thing, or the tender thing. I want so badly for her to not miss out on precious moments with her son. What can I do to help. I miss my girl!

I'm really sorry for your situation redsun131. That must be heartbreaking.
I''m not a parent but I know many of our members are, and many have been through the same things....I'm sure you'll hear from them soon

Has she often left her child with you while she is off doing something? It might be time to call children's services as she isn't doing very well at mothering.

You could find support also at NarAnon, the group for friends and family of addicts. You can google it to find it in your area.
