Day 8 complete!

Feeling on great form today. I have started my mission to accomplish driving at last, something that was obviously never going to happen whilst drinking.

Been to a meeting today and got a lot out of it and met some amazing people and shared and listened to some amazing journeys through this awful disease. I am aware that I'm in very early sobriety but I honestly have never felt so blessed and thankful that I have a fellowship and support from people I never would of guessed I would have support from. Everything is coming together nicely and I've everything to gain by being sober and everything to loose by being an out of control drunk that makes people feel depressed. I'm going to do this! and I am just taking one day at a time. Today I am drinking Earl grey Tea and Water. Feeling fresh. peace.

Well done on 8 days, RJY.

It's a great feeling, knowing you can drive and you won't be over the limit.
Being sober does give you much more freedom also with a clearer mind.

Well done. Driving is great and gives one a sense of freedom, though I am a bit rubbish at it :) xxx

Nicely said. In a few days you'll have to start counting on your hands and toes :)
