Good for you....we cannot ever do this alone. We NEED support. And forgive me for saying...but...to me...it sounds like you're better off without your ex. I agree it seems a little suspect that he already has a new girlfriend.... wtf? You did and ARE now doing...the right thing. Drinking will only make your depression worse. Go to a meeting....go to a movie....spend time with your sober friend that's coming over. You have an entire life ahead of you. Imagine how wonderful it will be spending it sober...
