I know the weekend is coming also. But im starting to think of what becomes of my life when I drink. ...all of the damage caused...the pain. Another section of my brain knowing...hereee comes another detox. The anxiety...no sleep...aggitation. once again the vicious cycle. I dont know what kind of drinker you are but IF you are really aware of what you become....do you wanna do it again?

An hour and forty minutes until I get picked up for AA. Today Ive gone for 2 walks to clear my mind. It helps. Ive had nervous bouts. My arm pits are sweating profusely. But I am excited. Im excited to finally walk through that door on my own will. And...for the first time ever openly and honestly admit. I am an alvhoholic.

Just got back from AA. Felt awesome and nerve racking all at once. I had a few moments of shaking and almost emotionally broke down. For the first time ever I admitted to being an alchoholic. Felt so much pressure fall from my shoulders. Being around others who have been successful is of the upmost importance.

Welcome to SR, NAVYDOC06! And thank you for your service! My dad was a Viet Nam vet and a navy man, too. He did two tours on the flight deck as a mechanic working on the planes.
It's good to have you with us. Best wishes and good luck on the road to recovery. I hope to see you around.
