Day 1....again.....Let's do this!
Day 1....again.....Let's do this!
Hi all
After a good 13 days of clean living, I made a stupid decision last week and now regret it. It has taken me another week to get my head to a point where I care; I tend to get into a vicious circle of drinking, feeling worthless and wallowing in negativity.
Anyhow, no more of that! I felt so well when I wasn't drinking and I know I can do this. I am going to use Rational recovery to beat the AV and hopefully I might be having some hypnotherapy. I will check in regularly. Day 1 is always tough BUT I am going to be tougher.
Thanks all!

you can do it!!
and hey.... at least have a LOOK at the Big Book.
RR and AVRT have some good basis in science and psychology - but personally it would have never worked for me on its own. If I could simply "recognize my AV and CHOOSE to quit" - well... I would have done so long ago.
For me, sobriety takes a concert of tools and approaches and AA's approach has some good stuff that has been helpful to me.
Hit up a meeting and ask for a book... or hey, if you're not comfortable with that yet just read it here;
