Football fans unite! Who is in for the SOBER BOWL?
 

Hi all you football fans out there! We have weekend threads but there's a huge event that many of us are used to attending or hosting parties for on Sunday night. Probably one of the biggest drinking events of the year for football fans.

This year I prefer to think of it as the SOBER Bowl.

Anyone care to join? If you join you are committing to not drinking! That removes the choice and takes the heat off of you :)

I'll be there, AA meetings in the morning and rooting for the Broncos in the afternoon.

Count me in. Doing ribs on the grill despite the cold and a couple feet of snow on the ground.

I'm in! I'm an Aussie and I don't have a clue except I know it's this weekend, I just googled and it's Sea Hawks from Los Angeles or Broncos from Denver, I'll have the Broncos since it's the Chinese year of the Horse. :)

I am in! Watching the game at some friends' house; he works for a microbrewery and always has a nice selection of beers, but I will be sober! I like both teams, so I am just excited for good food and a great game!

Not sure where I'll be watching the game yet but I will be sober. Everyone be strong!!

My Packers didn't make it, but I did - my last drink was Superbowl Sunday last year!

I am definitely in. I have a very nasty cold though and I just hope I will be able to stay up and enjoy the game >sober of course<. A friend of mine invited me over but there is no way I can make it. I feel like I am 100 feet underwater and exhausted.

It will just be my wife and me for the Super Bowl so it will be club soda and crudités for me. We lived in the Puget Sound area for thirty years and of course are rooting for the Seahawks. But, we lived in Colorado for six years and are Bronco fans too. I'm just looking forward to a good game with no injuries and a lot of fun commercials.

I'm in...planning to make some great food and enjoy the commercials. Oh, and the game too. Go hawks!!

I'm only sober one week, sooooo, I'm skipping the party with friends and opting to stay home with wife and kids. (Ok ok, Sober or not, I'd rather hang with family 9 times out of 10). I'm making fried chicken smothered in hot wing sauce, chips, dip, sodas, and all the other crap you're doctor hates.

I guarantee that I'll have a good seat for the game.

Then, I wake up on Monday morning feeling like a million bucks!

I'll join in, although I will be around a copious amount of liquor this afternoon. It's far from the first time I'll have this challenge in the past 6 months, so I'll be fine.

My beverage of choice today: club soda. Water's holding the clipboard and soda is asking his agent for a change of scenery so he soon won't have to ride the bench as third-string.

Going to a Superbowl party, bringing the classics, guacamole, pico and some onion dip. Staying til 1/2 time, coming home to watch the rest w/ my 4 year old.
