Humility Delivered.
Welcome back Babs- so glad you are here
Within our greatest vulnerability lies our greatest strength
It was only when I embraced sobriety unconditionally with an open heart (and desperation) that things changed for me.
I envisaged a life of quiet deprivation- I was wrong

Everyone - Thank you for weighing in and being so kind. I know that my story is not unique, we are all in the same struggle but its feel so genuinely unique in our own lives. I feel like America's first alcoholic in my social circles - this disease is so isolating. I know the real me, the true, honest me does not want to be the person that was at my kitchen that was slumped over after too many glasses of wine in the middle of the day. Coming here and re-engaging in the conversation with you all gives me a place to fit in, a place where I'm not alone, I'm not an animal, a terrible wife, a terrible mother and all the dysfunctional labels I give myself everyday-which grow louder and leads me back to drinking. It's enough now. I've been on borrowed time for a decade. Enough now.
I look forward to more words with you all in the coming months. Let's keep the conversation going. Every minute, hour and day we make a choice. Let's meet on the sunny side.

Hey Babs
I'm glad you're back - I'm glad to see you accepting some things - I think that is key, along with acting on your realisations
I really hope you can make this time your time, Babs
