Hey group
I was due a 2 year chip tonite so I went to my home group to pick it up.A fellow AA said he had come up short needed some folks to go to a meeting and share and support him.I did not decline I said I can do the chip here anytime and procededed to leave with him.Well to make a long story short we ended up at the prison AA group which he chairs and I was the speaker which I was unaware of until we arrived. Please keep in mind that I am deep into step work and share qiute often in the meetings but had never been a formal speaker at any group much less a group as tough as this one.I fumbled through the story it actually came out half way decent and completly honest.I picked up a two year chip at the end of the meeting and shared with several of the fellows on where they were at in the program and got a felling for for how they felt about the program.
I had to share this experience with others because it has created a memory for me on my second year that I would not give anything for.
