Just checking in

I am snowed in. I was hoping to make it to one of the 2 AA meetings we have around here today but that isn't going to happen. So, I've been doing things around the house that need to be done, shoveled, took care of the livestock, etc. Not too much to say, I am just trying to stay connected daily here because it helps me stay sane.

This is one of the reasons why I am grateful for online recovery, it's always available and there's almost always someone online.

Thanks for checking in!

Glad you checked in. Nothing like being socked in because of snow. SR is a great place to be when you can't get out.

What kind of livestock do you have? I have cats but hard to call them livestock.

That's the wonderful thing about SR. It's always open, all hours of the day and night, and there's always someone online.

I have horses, mostly rescued horses who were not fed or kept properly.

I do love the horses. They are life savers in many ways. All animals are wonderful though. I've always has a MUCH easier time with animals than I have with people!

Thanks, Dee. I used to like being in the middle of nowhere in the snow but now I feel like I should be in an area with lots more AA meetings.

It's ok to start off small. For some unknown
amazing reason you are where you are suppose
to be right now. You have so much goodness
within you, especially taking care of your HP's
animals. They have been placed in ur hands
for a special reason.

Even for those 2 meetings you have right
there at ur finger tips to get to, when ur
not snowed in... .....they are there for
a reason and purpose.

You are doing exactly what is needed to
do today to be happy and sober.

Glad you are here, because I need you
in my own recovery. I promise.

"For some unknown
amazing reason you are where you are suppose
to be right now" This never really sank in for me in the past but I am finding that it is so utterly true in my life.

It is great that you have rescue horses. They must bring a lot of joy to you. I have always wanted more animals but at the moment two cats and a tank of fish are about all I can handle. You are doing an awesome thing!
