Thank you so much, everybody. You have all been an important part of my recovery.

Today, as I'm going through my house and clearing out all of the junk that the movers aren't going to take, I was struck by how symbolic it is for me to do this. Yes, it's a lot of junk and crap that I don't need, but it's also baggage. This was the house where all of the "bad stuff" happened and the weight of it still hangs heavy in the air. What I'm doing in this house today is so symbolic of what I've done in my life for the past year ... getting rid of the ugly, unneeded garbage that has weighed me down for so long, starting a new life in a new house with only the things I need and leaving the ugly stuff behind. Every bag of junk that I put in the dumpster makes me feel lighter and more free. It's very cathartic.
