No more pills!
Well, I had the dreaded doctor appointment today. After the last time I went to the emergency room with a blood pressure of 177/110, I was put on blood pressure medication.
After a short 17 days of sobriety, My blood pressure is down to 130/82. What a testament as to how well the body can recover.
Now I am done taking pills that make me feel weird and ruin my workouts. My doctor said my blood pressure was pre-hypertension. That's a far cry from being close to stage 3 hypertension. (I'm sure most of it was me detoxing to be fair) She did tell me I was still overweight, (again, booze) but as long as I continue my current course, she does not recommend me take medication anymore.
Either way, I'm healthy enough to be taken off a medication. Now I just need to maintain sobriety and exercise, and be patient getting back to where I want to be.
