the infamous husband

many of you have read my posts and my praise of my husband. I wake up in Colorado and I have an email from him with just this link.

I'm glad you found this helpful. I quit reading at #7, and think #1 defies explanation, so no one ever explains it.

I found it dead on right foolsgold.

1.Happiness comes from within. We spend way too much of our lives looking for outside validation and approval that eludes us. Turns out, it's been an inside job all along. Go inward

You have to love yourself before you can love anyone or anything else. Way to much time distracted by trying to validate yourself. What you feel inside is what you see all around you. (5.The world is our mirror. ) It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. I think I am unlovable therefore so does everyone else.

I appreciate your response silentrun, I really do.

I've treated others poorly in my life but I spend a buttload of my existence helping others. Should I throw myself a party or stop?

I don't understand what you are asking foolsgold. You are trying to work something out right? What is it? Whatever it is I am sure I have a 70s song for it.

See, I thought I was addressing the concept directly. I don't mean to be negative to you but I only get a soft click from these things. My click has cotton between it, it doesn't carry voltage, so to speak. I'm not sure you can help me with that but yeah, I'd like to find my way to it.

Article is really worth a read through, thanks for sharing! I agree with all point except maybe:
"6. Everybody comes into our life for a reason."
I personally think there are many random encounters, but we can infuse many of even these with meaning and purpose if the focus is set correctly and the time is right. Including that sometimes it's good to be selective and stay away from negative or unhelpful influences.

So many excellent points that any honest person will likely encounter at some point in their lives, at least on the level of contemplation!

That cotton between you and it for me was the veil of alcoholic thinking.

Huh. Crap. Thanks for saying that. I'm not sure I've ever been free from that, SR. 8 years sober didn't do it. Maybe I was born with this.
