Going back to work!
Sooo, after a horrendously long wait (two and a half weeks) from 2nd interview stage I got the news on Friday that I got the job that I wanted. I'd started to line up some other interviews but this is the one I had my heart set on! Going back to where I used to work a couple of years ago but with a different team. A new challenge but with some familiar faces. Just what I need right now!
My background is I went off sick (anxiety, clinical depression) from my last job in mid August and decided in November not to return. After a couple of really bad binges I decided to give up alcohol at the start of September to give myself a chance to beat the depression this time, instead of my old habit of self medicating. I've completed a 16 week course of counselling (mixture of CBT and talk therapy) and it's really changed how I look at things.
This will be the next big test in my recovery but excited to be getting back out there!
