Good for you to have a plan. I was never a big planner which meant I would go wherever the wind happened to blow me or the day which was usually to work and then the bar or the store to get alcohol.
Creating a plan has helped me immensely because not only do I feel productive when I finish what's in the plan, but the plan keeps me focused on what I want to be doing instead of allowing my bad habits to drive my day. If you keep up the plan, you'll find that you're mind starts adopting the new habits and replacing the old. It's kind of a fun realization when you figure out how it all works.
