weekend thread come help us get through 24 th 25th and 26th of jan 2014
Hello everyone ,
so it's friday again 1/7 th of a week , 24 hours to get through... 16 hrs till my bedtime with the dozeyness i feel this morning
So let's all try to get through it sober , lets get the support we need . Drinking and drugging is the pits , in the end it didn't even make me feel good , it was my way of trying to cope with , and control things and it didn't work .
It's been a grim week for driving , lots of selfishness and raw aggression , i try not to be one of the people adding to it … today i'm heading out 15 mins earlier so hopefully things will be a little less fractious , means i get to work 45 mins before i need to be there but the roads in are a lot quieter …
so I'm off out now , hopefully protecting my calmness and centerdness , see you all in 12 hours .

I'm in! Only Thursday here ... For the next 8 minutes but I am in for the weekend thread. Guess time has gotten away from me and I should go to bed so I can function at work tomorrow.

Day 20 for me! Yesterday was my mother's birthday. She would have been 52 years old. She passed away last year from chronic illness of the central nervous system. It has been a rough year ever since then and I'm grateful I'm still around to represent her and continue to make her proud of me. I'm hoping this year 2014 will be better than 2013. I'm looking forward to a very sober year and thankful for all the support I get here.

Working today and tomorrow, so early night tonight it is, that's Friday night taken care of.
Nothing planned for Saturday night as yet, so gotta get that sorted before the end of the day.
Pro Bowl is this Sunday evening, can't see me staying up to watch much of it, (next week being Superbowl weekend is gonna be tougher) probably first half and then bed in time for an early Monday morning!!

Hey Mecanix my Pommie friend! Stay safe on the road.This weekend is a long one in Australia, it's Australia Day on Sunday which can involve heavy drinking in some circles. I hope we'll have lots of Aussies signing up for a sober and safe weekend.
* Ring ring * After ten months of sober weekends I reckon are a heap more fun than the alternative plus you get to enjoy the whole of the weekend instead of just some of it.
