Day 13
First of all, I am happy to say I am on my 13th day since I quit drinking. I drank approximately a 750mL of vodka a day for about a year, and drank heavily for the last 8 years. I am 27 years old and in surprisingly good health considering everything I put my body through. I have spent countless hours on this forum reading other people's stories, which for some reason has been helping me to keep going. I'm very thankful for finding this site, and I plan to continue to frequent this forum while I reprogram my mind and body....
I do have a question, I've been having frequent throbbing headaches. Is this normal at this stage?

I'm glad you joined us. As to the headaches, we can't diagnose you over the net. Best advice would be to see your doctor if they're that bad or if they don't go away.
Congrats on thirteen days sober!
Congratulations on 13 days! I had headaches off and on for a couple of weeks, but they went away with a couple of Advil. I agree with the others, if they seem more painful than "normal," you should check with your doctor. Are you drinking enough water?

13 days is great!! I wouldn't be at day 8 if it wasn't for this place and everyone's support and all of the posts. I try to stay logged in all day, so when I'm feeling weak, I have somewhere to go quickly.
