Thumbs up Old, not new

I'm sober (again), and recovery isn't new to me. Being the dedicated stubborn freak of nature that I am has allowed me to collect an enormous amount of information and use none of it. I've started to use it, and all is well. I quit smoking at the same time so I don't have to go through bitchy withdrawal lunatic stage later on.

Thanks I tried IN THE ROOMS, but kept getting wacked with one or more of the 12 steps. It was very frustrating. They meant well, but I'm not a stepper. HP helps those that help themselves, that is if you have one, which I do. I don't claim to know anything about it, or claim what it wants or doesn't want, but it's there. I refer to it as a she though; calling her IT reminds me of a Stephen King novel.

Will do.

I have a sign on my kitchen wall (and I'm not partial to signs on my kitchen wall) that says DRINK COFFEE; DO STUPID THINGS FASTER WITH MORE ENERGY.

Ironically, coffee is a favourite comfort food for me, but it makes me want to drink whether it's caf or decaf! It's probably better for me if I wake up and spill it!
