It's even worse than you know...

Fermentation is yeast eating sugar and expelling alcohol. You're drinking yeast excrement.

The fruit doesn't really get me so bad. I've cut the bad parts out in fruit and eaten them. What gets me is the fact that we were drinking ethanol, the same thing I see at the gas station.
