day 3
day 3
Today I am back on day 3 after a hard few weeks I got the kick up the bum what I needed thank u deeker I like I person who doesn't beat around the bush.
I have bee dragging myself to the gym most days and completely changed my diet.
I want to make myself healthy as well as sober.
Did anyone else go to the gym n change diet?
These past few days I've felt a lot better. Not got a cloudy head and generally feel quiet happy.
I'm wondering if any of u lost weight by not drinking and if so how long it took as I find this will also encourage me to keep on the straight and narrow.
Anyways I will wish u all a happy healthy and sober day.
I'm off to get my monkeys ready and then I will hit the gym.
Love to u all zombiegirl xxxxx

Well done on 3 days. A bright future ahead.
In answer to your question, I have cut out salt from my diet, eating less and healthier and now go to the gym for a minimum of 1 hour 5 nights out of the week.
I am on day 9 and things feel great.

I'm on day 14 today and have lost about 7 pounds. I have been back to training with higher energy and greater regularity than I have in the past year and a half since I made the decision to try out some further "controlled drinking" - an experiment that resulted in conclusive evidence I am firmly on the alcoholic road if I drink.
I've been a gym-goer, a runner, a skier, a surfer, a cyclist, and an all-around fitness-focused guy for most of my life... but when I'm drinking all of those things get hampered and take a lesser priority in my life. I still do them, but I do them with less vigor, less focus, less energy and less regularity. Over the past decade, the impact has been more and more marked... to the point where I gained about 25 lbs in a year of returning to drinking and would often make silly excuses to myself about why the weight gain and why I couldn't go to the gym that day.
This week I have felt a tremendous resurgence in my fitness and though I'm sore EVERYWHERE from my training the past several days, I am feeling better than I have for over a year.
The exercise has the added benefit of boosting my mood, killing off cravings and taking up time that I might otherwise be sitting around drinking. It's all connected, for sure.
Congratulations on day 3.... keep on going!

It's part of my new life plan to be a better me I must not drink or eat crap and work my bum off to be how I used to be before alcohol took over.
