Say a little payer!
All across the US we are dealing with arctic temperatures, record lows! As I nearly froze simply running with my kids from the car into our heated home, I was struck with such sadness for those who are homeless or without heat! Many of those people are suffering with their addictions. I hope even if your not religious you can all just say one little prayer and reach out to someone who may need help!

I has been in the news here, from Chicago it was very cold and shelters were overwhelmed.
Cold can be dangerous and being drunk does not help, alcohol does confuse the body so it does not protect the internal organs and you body temperature can drop fast.

Years ago I worked outside in this crap. Never again! But best wishes to all who have to be out in these horrific conditions!
I hear by the weekend we'll be close to 50 in this area...

All the stupid little things that I complain about in my day, sometimes we don't stop to think what we've got and instead of what we are lacking. I'm ok and so is my family sometimes that's enough! I'm pretty healthy pretty happy and very sober

IM - I've been having the exact same thought over the last few days. I have been praying too. A puffed up little sparrow in the tree this morning brought me to tears. What a brave and strong little soul...
