Just don't do it ... pretty please Get the funniest dvd you can find and sit down with some nibbles. The person who died wouldn't want you to go on a binge and suffer the consequences xxxxxxxxxxxx

Block your nose!!!

You can do it. Just don't dwell on the horrific incident and think about how wonderful you'll feel staying sober. It's too easy to run away inside a bottle,I know,I did it.
I would much rather have my life in true color and not in a foggy/false non reality that alcohol brings.

As tempting as drinking might be, it does no one good. Not you, not the memory of the priest whose loss you grieve.

I read in the newspaper account that the suspect had been in police custody earlier that night...intoxicated! If alcohol contributed to his murder, drinking is the last thing you should do. Stay strong. Lean on your faith. Pray.

I would recommend keeping your butt indoors until it passes. You can't drink if you don't buy it. And if you're an alcoholic, you never know where that first drink leads.

Play out the scenario. If you play it till the end, the way you will feel if you gave in, the downside, the let down, because it's never as good as we think,, etc.
You can do it. You have 10 days right? You got this!

Drinking won't change anything that has happened in the past, it will merely make your future worse.

Thanks everyone...
Good point doggonecarl. Suspect has trial this week and was intoxicated. Wow now I have a different perspective. You guys are all so great. My sponsor is coming to hang with me in a bit. I wish I had work today. Movie time...

I'm sorry for what happened, but you drinking on it won't change anything, or help you deal with it any easier, kflee.

Stay strong.

I'm midway through day 11 and let me tell you from direct, immediate personal experience; I'm very grateful I stuck with Day 10.

You will be too.

Hang in there.

I AM SO THANKFUL FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT. SR IS AMAZING..YOU ALL ARE AMAZING.

On a good note, my sobriety has convinced a good friend to think about stopping. That is where I started and now I am on day 10.
