To everyone who's responded and the words of encouragement even in the short time I've been here.

I'm actually happy now. I still have waves of sadness, anxiety, and regret, but even then, under it all, I know things will be ok. Better than ok.

I'm surprised by how excited I am to start AA. I can't wait for my first meeting. I just feel like a weight has been lifted knowing what I have to do. I feel clear.

I know that I can do this. That I WILL do this. Here's to 4 days down and a lifetime more to look forward to.
