Checking into Outpatient Rehab Tomorrow

I am going to rehab tomorrow. I had a pretty good sober year. Sober well over 50% of the year, but had some benders. I had a good one over the Christmas Holiday. I made the decision to go get some professional help. I am going to an intensive outpatient rehab which is 6 hours a day 4 days a week for four weeks. I am so excited to begin this new chapter in my life and learn the tools necessary for LONG TERM sobriety.

Cheers all!

Hi and best wishes. I needed to listen when I started to get sober as my best efforts ended with me in the place I didn't intend to be. I also needed to learn to accept the words of others with more sobriety than myself. It's a lifelong learning experience and very worthwhile.

BE WELL

Enjoy every minute of it. Rehab helped me change my life and I wouldn't give that time back for anything. We'll be thinking of you!

Congratulations! I definitely understand the weeks or months of being sober then slipping up. Mine happened New Year's Eve. Starting AA next week and seriously considering outpatient rehab myself. Well wishes on your journey, hope recovery stays permanent for both of us this time.
