hey all ive made it to day 9....the past 2 nights have been sleepless riddled with anxiety but ive tried to ride the waves....
I have a date tonight with a friend of a few years. hes an ex alcoholic and although he doesn't know my decision as yet I feel it will be good for us to spend some time plus my boys are away so I need to stay busy to stop the cravings.
over the past few years dating I have been half drunk before every date....no wonder I cannot maintain a relationship. it is a weight off my mind to know tonight I will have dignity and clarity....theres no bigger buzz than being sober.

Good luck! Be careful and don't let dating get in the way of your newfound sobriety. There is plenty of time for dating after you get some sober time under your belt! Happy new year to you!
