This is certainly my longest stretch of continuous sobriety since I began drinking on my 21st birthday. I was really worried I wouldn’t make it this far and get thru the holidays sober, but I did. Being sober is a healthy foundation to build my future on and I hope that this is only the beginning for me.

Emotions can still be hard to handle but I am in control of my decisions and that is important to me. In early sobriety there are lots of limitations that gradually begin to fade away as my footing in this new lifestyle becomes more secure.

I couldn’t have gotten this far without all of you.
