Another day!!

Another day and night has past and I am still sober!!!

I am feeling better and better as time goes on! I feel my happiness and faith coming back slowly! I know with time it will all come back if I stick to the path I'm on!

One of my biggest choice I've mad so far besides to stop drinking is changing my playground and friends! I've changed my number and deleted my Facebook and this has helped so much. The temptation and so call friends and post on there no longer can influence me anymore!

Hope everyone had a good and sober happy New Year!!!

If you relapsed all I can say is that keep trying and go one day at a time! Working the steps truly does work if your willing to put the time in!!!

Dave

Way to go Dave! I deleted my Facebook as well, for similar reasons but also because I felt it was a complete time waster. Stay strong

I made the mistake of re-activating my FB on New Years Eve. I was overwhelmed by all the pictures of booze I got angry and almost threw my phone. I think I will give it another go as far as deleting it. It is the boredom that eats away at me though. Great job Dave!

Good idea, I am off to do the same, facebook and twitter. I do not need friends that get in the way of my sobriety.

I agree Dominca2 bordem gets to me too but I've been surrounding myself with family (who are being very supportive) and meetings! I've found that instead of one on Saturday and Sunday I'm going to two or three each day and this is truly helping! I'm meeting more and more people and making friends who will assist me in my sobriety not influence me with pictures, or stupid post on Facebook!

Stay strong and go day by day!

Deleted Facebook in March and forgot all about it. Call me miserable but i don't really care if someone has just taken a picture of their food and wrote a status 'just done the washing up after eating this lol'.

Rant over :-)

Awesome job!!! Sounds like you're cleaning house. :-)

(I deactivated FB yesterday! LOL The FB deleting may require a thread all it's own. Hmmm...)

Well done DBJ. It's great to feel that steady improvement. Mine was very slow (I was dead miserable for the first few months of sobriety) but when I looked back I could see progress was being made.
