Well managed to have my first sober new year since I became legal to drink, feel so good today and really fresh! On day 4 not drinking but I feel as if that was my biggest hurdle to get over

Hopefully the positivity lasts although I still aint sleeping with the drink coming out me

Great job staying sober on NYE-that's huge! The sleep will get better. This has been my major issue staying sober. I'm on 6 weeks. I have still have good nights and bad nights. I focus on relaxing, drinking hot tea, breathing, and I always remind myself that I will eventually sleep (though during the first few weeks, I did have a few all-nighters, but even then I eventually slept) and in the meantime, no one ever died from lack of sleep, but we can die from alcohol. Again, sleep DOES get better--this comes from a serious insomniac.
Good luck. You can do this if it is your true intention. Say strong.

Nice! Congrats on getting through the New Year sober. It's great to be able to remember the night and wake up refreshed the next day isn't it?

Nice!! There with you with 5 days today Ended up by myself last night (son ditched me) & the thought was there, but just thought back to last new years & my last string of drunks & felt great today to bring the year in sober. Hope you get some sleep
