New to site!

Hello,

I'm new to this site. Recently broke up with my ex fiancé of 3 years. He just entered a program for Alcoholism 3 months ago. During the past 3 months its been a crazy roller coaster. Now he doesn't want my my support and has stated he wasn't even sure if he even loved me. He acts like i meant nothing to him. We do have a son together as well!

Feeling heart broken and confused.

Welcome to SR, Christinastar. I'm sorry you are going through this, but glad that you found us.

The best thing you can do now is take especially good care of yourself and your son. If that means walking away from the addict, then that's what you might have to do. Time will tell whether or not he is serious about recovery, but you can't just sit and wait on him. You must do whatever is best for your son and yourself.

SR is a wonderful place full of really supportive people. I hope you'll hang around a while and read the posts of others who have dealt with, or are dealing with the same things you are. We're here to support you. (((HUGS)))

Welcome to SR!

Coming from an Alcoholic, unless he get's serious about changing is life and walks the talk I recommend not wasting yours. Sad but true, not worth your time. Life is short new friend, enjoy every moment and flush anything between you and happiness.

Thank you all! I'm just going through a lot of pain and can't stop crying at night. It feels all like a bad dream but I've come to realize it's my reality. It's very hard to find inner strength when my heart is broken and my mind is confused.

THANK YOU ALL AGAIN! IT'S GOOD TO KNOW I AM NOT ALONE.

Thank you again for not letting me feel alone and broken. I can't sleep anymore these days. I just ask myself what did I do so wrong in life to deserve this? How did I not see the man I love and would do anything for, doesn't even love me back? But still told me he loved me everyday. Where did I go wrong?? How do I find the strength to just move on...
