New to Soberiety

Hi I'm new to this page. I quit drinking on Christmas Day. First New Years sober in 20 years. Feeling anxious...

Just sit tight! Don't go out. Turn in early if you're feeling tempted. It's wonderful what you're accomplishing tonight!

It won't feel this strange next year - you'll have a whole year of sobriety behind you by then. It will get much easier, we promise. Stay close and keep posting - we are with you.

Hi Paddle Out - I'm in day 5 & had that "feeling" I would be missing out if I didn't go out or drink, but just thought back to the last couple (dozen) times that I have drank & know it would be the same "****". We're not missing "****"

Look forward to waking up sober in 2014!!
