Going to Rehab on Thursday...

Yep.. I'm being court-mandated to a treatment facility. I've been there before and it's really nice and I know what to expect.

These next few days are going to be HARD.. In the past, whenever I would go into treatment, I would always use as much as possible before I left.. Not suprisingly I've never completed any of the programs.

This time, I have been clean for 44 days and will be 46 days clean when I go there so hopefully my anxiety wont be as bad.

Just wanted to let ya'll know, so I don't just randomly disapear on you guys again haha.

Good luck!!! It sounds like you are doing it differently. I was drunk every time I went to rehab/detox. You won't have to detox so you can get down to the business of recovery.

Good news. Now you can go load up on
information, learning tools about addiction.
This will be like going to school where
you will be taught about addiction.

For you, what a GIFT...!!! Many never have
the chance for whatever reason, to take
advantage of going to a rehab with as much
sober or clean time as you have. That is awesome..!

I entered rehab on August 10th, 1990 and my
first full day sober was august 11,1990 which
is my Sobriety Birthday. It took awhile for the
toxins to exit my body. The fog to clear. Then
a full 28days in stay rehab along with a 6 week
outpatient aftercare program for all that knowledge
of recovery to begin sinking in or making sense.

What an awesome opportunity and GIFT you
have waiting for you to help you begin building
a strong, healthy foundation in recovery to
live your life upon.

What you learn, what you experience, you
will then be able to share with others that
will follow you as you continue on ur journey.

Way to go..!!!!!

Thanks everyone!

When I get there I'm gonna ask my counselor if I can log on to SR every so often just to update you all on my progress!
